About Me

My name is Anne Malaythong. I'm originally from Laos. My family immigrated to the United States in 1980. I grew up in Eugene/Springfield, OR. I am the first in my family to graduate from a university. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS degree in Sociology. I also attended Lane Community College and got my associate degree. In additional, I also attended NW Christian University with a focus in accounting. English is my 3rd language. I speak Lao and Thai.

I have a partner of 30 years+. We have two amazing children together, Hailey and Ashley. Hailey is an esthetician. Ashley is in the Air Force. Our children speak Spanish, Mandarin, and Lao. They attended Chinese school in Eugene, OR on the weekends for 5 years. We also have two perfect Terriers, Penne and Ellie. As a family, we enjoy camping, rafting, and long road trips in the Oregon outback.

Before opening my State Farm Insurance Agency in 2015, in Eugene, OR. I managed and operated my parents’ Thai and Chinese restaurant for 10 years in Eugene, OR. I was a loan officer for 5 years. I also worked in commercial insurance at Wells Fargo for 5 years. I worked in the fields during the summers picking crops from the age of 7 to 16 to earn extra money for school clothes and supplies.

With my experience and background in lending, small business management, and 15+ years in personal lines and commercial insurance. I am more than qualified to help you with your insurance needs. Community Involvement

I interned at Holt International Adoption Agency for a couple of years. I volunteered and taught insurance classes at Nedco (provides financial education and housing counseling for first time home buyers). I also volunteered at the local middle schools with underprivileged kids that needed an adult mentor. In addition, I taught insurance classes at high schools and colleges in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. I was a guest speaker at the University of Oregon international student association.
